Our Hearts Bring Us Together
One day a saint went with his students to a pious river to take a dip in it. As saint and his students began to prepare themselves for taking a dip in river, the saint began to hear few people shouting, so saint turned over and saw a group of people from the same family shouting at each other. Saint called his students, and asked them, why do people shout at each other in anger?
Students began to think, and after few minutes one student replied, people do this, because they loose their mind and control when they are angry. Saint asks, but they are standing in front of each other why do they have to shout? Whatever they have to say they can say it nicely without shouting.
Students kept giving their answers but nobody could give a satisfactory answer.
Saint in the end explains, that when two people are angry at each other, then their hearts go so far away from each other hence why they have to shout at each other in order to speak to each other, the more angry they get at each other the farther their hearts will go, and the farther their hearts go the louder they would scream at each other.
Students begin to understand the logic of their Guru (Saint), and saint keeps telling his students:
Saint says, I will give one more example, two people who are in love with each other, they speak too softly with each other and they both can hear each other, why? Because their hearts are very close to each other, in fact what happens is when they begin to love each other deeply, their hearts are so close to each other to an extent where they do not even have to utter even a single word, they just understand everything by the gestures of the expressions.
So, my dear students, when you talk to anybody keep this in mind that your hearts do not go far away from the people you talk with, and do not even say the words that may take your hearts far from such people. Saint tells his students always discuss, talk but do not shout.
